Green Cheeks ~ Naturally Intimate
The Green Cheeks mission stems from a shared awareness that many women today want to maintain a healthier, environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyle.
Many women also have genuine health and allergy concerns. Modern clothing production methods have exposed us to many harmful synthetic chemicals, creating an unknown number of health problems – including contributing to skin conditions and allergies.
As an effort to reduce our chemical exposure and to reduce our impact on the Earth, Green Cheeks:
- Supports eco-fashion designers who use high quality natural or organic fabrics. These include the softest bamboo, hemp and organic cottons, as well as silks, linens and wools.
- Supports the recycling of vintage fabrics to reduce unused fabric and clothing added to our landfills. Some synthetics are present in these designs, but rest assured that they will always be disclosed in the product description.
- Actively explores new sustainable fabrics, production methods and designers to bring you the best eco friendly lingerie.
- Employs and promotes design methods that minimize waste, by adjusting patterns to reduce loss and by recycling the scraps into our Scrappies program. This is a non-profit organization that turns the scrap material into natural and organic pet toys.
- Recycles all packaging and any other waste material that we can,
- Use 100% post-consumer product paper and office supplies, and
- Contributes quarterly to offset our carbon footprint from business practices!
All are small steps to reducing our footprint and helping the Earth.
Green Cheeks is located in Austin, Texas area. New products will be added on a regular basis, so check back often!

The Idea Behind Green Cheeks
Green Cheeks was started because the owner saw a need for attractive eco friendly lingerie. However, the idea for Green Cheeks did not happen over night!
While in college, the owner discovered that she had developed an allergy to certain chemicals and dyes used in products like laundry detergent, perfumes, shampoo’s and soaps. The allergy was mild, but was enough that she decided eliminate the products from her life by finding healthier, often all-natural (and synthetic free) alternatives.
This prompted her to research what other harmful chemicals were used in the products she used everyday. She began to realize that the same (if not more) harmful chemicals went into clothing! And more often than not, the process to make clothing was even more harmful to the environment.
At the time, there were not many “healthier” options for woman’s clothing – especially for the most basic layers! Most eco friendly lingerie was bland, boring and were offered in limited styles. Over the past couple of years however, this has changed. As more people have become aware of the harmful chemicals and processes that we expose ourselves to everyday, the availability of attractive alternatives, like natural and organic fibers and dyes, have increased.
Thus, Green Cheeks was born to bring greener options to every woman!
